Died: Spouse: Mary (Polly) Davis Children: Elizabeth (Betsy) Case, Hannah Case, Peter Case, Nathaniel Case, Rachel Case, Aaron Case, Nancy Case Served with his father-in-law, Giles Davis, during the War of 1812. Giles Davis and Samuel Case were neighbors in Nelson Co., KY According to Preble Co, OH tax records he paid taxes in 1811 & 1816 on S6, T6, R2 Sometime between 1816 (tax) and 1819 (wife remarried) it is presumed he passed away. A strong indicator is the lawsuit brought against his wife after she married. It was a suit by her children for the division of property. Oddly, there is no record of his death or burial that has been found yet. This becomes strange when you stop to consider the many entries that followed him since Nelson Co., KY. |
